The enigmatic Count Saint Germain is shrouded in mystery and intrigue. Thought to have been born at the end of the 17th Century, there are very few verified facts.
Count Saint Germain is thought to have been born in the late 17th Century although some historians believe that he has been around since the time of Christ. There are records of him appearing throughout history and even as recently as the 1970s. Who Is Count Saint Germain?Always appearing to be around 45 years of age, Count Saint Germain has been an instrumental figure in a number of famous lives including King Louis XV of France, Casanova and Madame de Pompadour. It is even believed by some that he warned the French monarchy in 1788 of the forthcoming Revolution despite their being a record of the death of Count Saint Germain on February 27 1784. He was certainly a very clever and influential man, being a member of several king's courts all over Europe during his lifetime of debatable lenght. No one knows anything for certain about Count Saint Germain but it is apparent that he was a man of wealth, of knowledge and of great skill in language, arts, sciences and more. Where Did Count Saint Germain Come From?According to Annie Besant, Count Saint Germain was born in 1690 to Francis Racoczi II, Prince of Transylvania but other records, including anecdotes believed to be from Count Saint Germain himself, claim that he was present at the trial of Jesus Christ in Nicaea in AD325 making him over 1700 years old should he still be alive today. Theories About Count Saint GermainTheorists, scientists and historians have wondered for years about who this man might be, how he can look the same age to someone after meeting decades later. One theory put forward was that there has been more than one person claiming to be Count Saint Germain although this would have to be a massive conicidence considering that each time, he has looked precisely the same to those who claim to have seen him. Count Saint Germain was also known to be a great alchemist and it is often considered that he discovered the "Elixir of Life" by turning base metals into gold and silver which, apparently, had special powers and, so the story goes, Count Saint Germain used this power for his own longevity. SummaryWhichever theory is correct, Count Saint Germain was (or, perhaps, still is) an amazing man, skillful in arts and the sciences, he also had the ability to speak several languages fluently without a hint of an accent. This, perhaps, has made it difficult for researchers to find where he came from or when. The only things which are agreed upon about Count Saint Germain are that he was a great man, a successful alchemist and had remarkable abilities. Otherwise, theories are rife with almost no evidence at all for any one of them. More information can be found at:
